Dear Spring,
In one of your blog posts you said that grains are bad, but they’re not necessarily bad for everyone, right? A lot of people seem to use the keto diet to lose weight, but I eat grains daily and have no problem at all with my weight.

Dear Susanna…
Insulin Resistance, which often leads to type 2 diabetes, as well as obesity, is not the only harm that can come from eating grains. I often feel that there is one benefit that overweight people have that thin people do not: People who are overweight have at least some visual indication that there is something wrong.
There’s a common misconception, that if a person is thin, that it means they are healthy. You can thank (at least in part) Big Food and Big Pharma for helping to perpetrate this lie. The size of their pocketbooks is directly affected by how much the general public believes their narrative. The more people catch on, and begin to eat the proper nutrition, the less money they make.
There are giant corporations living off the sickness of the masses. And until we understand this as a people, they will continue to use us like a parasite sucking the blood from its prey; except this kind of parasite doesn’t care if you die in the process, because you probably had offspring that can take your place.
An easy way to dupe the people is to have a product they first make you believe is healthy. Then they make sure you develop a dependence upon it, to ensure you keep coming back for more. They couldn’t have accomplished such a feat without first tampering with what God created.
For instance, what do you think happens when there is forty times the amount of gluten in a staple food such as wheat, than it once had? People become addicted to it, their bodies malfunction, and eventually…people die. If you’re old enough, you can remember a time, not so long ago, when there was no such thing as ‘gluten-intolerance.’
But other than our food becoming GMO, there is another serious problem that almost no one ever speaks about. What I’m referring to is the way in which grains are stored. Why would this be an issue you ask?
In the U.S., grains are stored in enormous silos. Within these silos, where the grain sits for long periods of time, fungus—or mold—begins to feed. The grain is packaged and transferred from the silos to the grocery stores, and then to our dinner table where we eat the grain that has the mold.
When ingested, the mold attacks our bodies by spewing mycotoxins; these mycotoxins cause inflammation, and as many of us know, inflammation causes disease. Which diseases? Well, all of them—arguably anyway.
Inflammation has been responsible for diseases such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, high blood pressure, aging, arthritis, and countless more. And you don’t have to be obese to have any of these illnesses—not even type 2 diabetes.
So why avoid grains? Because unless you live in some country where they adhere to far wiser grain storage practices, or you can somehow raise your own grain organically, (if, that is, you could acquire non-GMO grain) then mold will be waiting to wreak havoc in your body. I hope you do your own in-depth research to truly understand the truth.
God bless you on your journey to health and wholeness. Don’t just live but thrive.
